Elimination Diet Countdown: 2 Days Out!

Well, we're now just 2 days out from the start of the elimination diet challenge starting Monday 22nd September and I'm receiving email after email from people telling me how excited they are to get started on this and really commit to their health for the next 30 days.

I'm excited too, you see, I'm doing it with you all and will be blogging my own blow by blow account of the journey too. (I have completed around 12 weeks of elimination this year but I've also had a pretty slack period over the summer whilst on vacation and, like most of you guys, I really need a kickstart.

So, we're in this together : )

I hope by now you've started cleaning your cupboards and pantries and are 'almost there' in terms of ready to start.

It's my birthday today and I'm overseas so I'm going to be relaxed tonight but come monday....

Anyway, I really want to get this going with a bang so I want you to do something for me.

I want you to post in the comments below the following:

"I'm doing Dax Moy's Elimination Diet Because..." and then tell me your REAL reason why joining the program is important to you and then " The results I'm committed to achieving are..."

This is important.

Really!

Knowing what you're doing something for and what you want to accomplish are the true keys to success in any endeavor.

So get to it.

Write away and tell me why you're here.

Think of it as the first step in making the challenge real : )

I look forward to seeing what you write!

Dax,

I'm doing the Dax Moy's Elimination Diet Beacuse (The REAL reason): I'm unhappy. I'm unhappy with how my weight has increased back to where it was 2 years ago. I don't want it to climb any higher. I don't want to look and feel fat. I want to be trim, fit, and attractive to my wife. I workout 5+ days a week, lift weights, do cardio, take boot-camp and spin classes, but my weight remains too high.

The results I'm committed to achieving are loosing at least 10 lbs and dropping my body fat at least 5%.

Let's get going. I'm purging my cabinets this weekend!

I'm doing Dax Moy's Elimination Diet because... I am tired of hiding behind my weight; I am tired of using my weight as an excuse for not feeling confident about myself. It’s important for me to join the program as it’s a means of me taking action in my goal to be in optimum health, with an advanced level of fitness. The results I'm committed to achieving are… 24% body fat, running 5k in 25minutes, and eating well consistently.

I will be doing Dax's Elimination Diet because I did his Look Great Naked Challenge and lost 10 lbs and kept it off. I have 20 more to lose and believe I can lose 10 of that in the first 30 days and the rest before Thanksgiving.

The results I'm committed to achieving are 1 month without sugar and the first of many. Also I want to lose 8lbs"

I'm doing Dax Moy's elimination because I started the diet in February and was doing great, until I started adding foods back in. I want to try again and stick with it for the full thirty days. I now know that I need to adhere to the diet strictly. I have a few goals that I would like to achieve. First, I need to remove my addictions to caffeine and sugar. Second, I need to lose 8 lbs and third I want to confirm that I should not be eating wheat ever again. I can't wait to start. Cindy

"I'm doing Dax Moy's Elimination Diet Because: I finished the LGNC in July and lost 30 pounds. Since then I have not gained any of the weight back and I have stayed off caffein and sodas. I have introduced sugar in small quantities and an occasional cocktail or two. Nothing extreme...I am beginning the Magic 100 and one of my goals is to lose a minimum of 20 more pounds by Dec 5 my 59th Birthday. I also want to meet this deadline as I will be in Belize on my actual B-day and want to snorkle or dive. A bathing suit is a must and I would like to be more fit to handle some of the excursions on that trip. The timing fits well with my 100 goals. Dax's program has proven to be successful in the past and I am confident it will be beneficial in the next 100 days as well.

Regards
Margot

Happy Birthday Dax! I hope you had a great day.

I'm doing Dax Moy's Elimination Diet because I want to finally achieve my goalse this year 1. so I haven't completely wasted yet another year and 2. so I can build up my confidence.

The results I hope to achieve are to have lost 10 pounds of body fat by the end of the 30 days, and get me to my first goal.

One thing I have to say is i'm eliminating everything on the banned list except milk. I know I don't have any kind of intolerance to it (while I do suspect a wheat and yeast intolerance) and I always feel healthy after a glass of milk. I have very strong bones (dare I say...big bones :-P )and I think this is down to drinking a lot of milk as a child.

Lets go!

"I'm doing Dax Moy's Elimination Diet Because...I felt FABULOUS after my first 30 days and want that same feeling back. I also had inspired many people to follow suit, all with great results and I want to inspire more people on this new challenge."

Hello Dax,

It was great to meet you at Ryan's Bootcamp. Thank you for the kind words.

I am doing Dax Moy's Elimination Diet because my life is out of control. I tell my clients that we can always control our physical selves... and in doing so we can take better control of our world.

I'm not in a good place and my eating is reflective of this. Time to fix me from the inside out and your program has helped me before.

The results I am committed to achieving are a clear mind, clean body, and high energy levels. I don't need to lose weight, but reducing my body fat % would be good (I'm 10-11% now).

I have suggested to my clients that they come here and get on board BEFORE the holidays are upon us.

To everyone's success!

I'm doing Dax Moy's Elimination Diet Because I want to be and feel my healthiest ever for myself. No more swollen foot/ankle, no more upset stomach, no more acid reflux and most importantly no more MIGRAINS. I want to regain my energy and vitality. I want my moods to shift back to happy and stay happy. An added bonus, I want to lose weight.

The results I'm committed to achieving are losing weight, being fitter/healthier, make this healthy way of eating a way of life for me. Making the coming years of my life better, healthier, fitter and more in shape than I ever was. An additional result that I am committed to achieving is my goal of fitting into my favorite little black dress and treating myself to the best birthday ever on January 2, 2009 which is when I turn 42.

Here's to all of us on this challenge! I am saying good luck but I know we won't need it because we are already here with the best man - Dax Moy - :}.

Wow Guys!

Thank you so much for sharing your goals...

I am committed to doing Dax Moy's elimination diet because...
1. I AM Dax Moy : )

2. Because, whilst I've done over 3 months of elimination this year, I've relaxed over my summer vacation and my waist and my energy are telling that my relaxation must end.

3. Because I genuinely believe that we become what we eat and I haven't been caring for myself as well as I could have been over the summer.

I'm committed to achieving a 32" waist (I'm just over 35 right now at 6' 1" and 230lbs. I'm big and strong but my bodyfat has gone up a bit and MUST go.

In 30 days I WILL have a sixpack!

I am doing Dax Moy's Elimination Diet because...I really enjoy the benefits of eating clean but haven't been committed to doing it for sometime :/ and I really want that vibrant feeling again. My body is not coping with any stress at the moment and I need this commitment to help me break through.

The results I am committed to achieving are...releasing my addiction to coffee, releasing bodyfat (10+lbs) and regaining vibrant health.

I am attempting to do this diet because I feel like a big fat cow even though my family says "your not fat". I weight 170 and would like to be around 130-140. I think this would help me feel better about me. I just pray that this will work!!!

Happy birthday Dax! :-)

Ohh, I'm the thirteenth apostle! :-))

I commit to Dax Moy's elimination diet cause I urgently need a personal renewal, to turn the page in my life's book by loosing until end of January 20 kgs. This has to do with many other changes in my life but foremost with the fact that in coming February I'll turn 40 and definitely want to be an other person than the one I'm now...
So I MUST loose weight for my new "me" and for inner liberation from my past life!
I am happy to start and share this journey with you! :-)

I'm doing the diet because last time i lost weight it felt good and since I got rid of all my fat clothes I'm soon going to be naked (not looking that great either) my nice clothes are getting too tight and I have no intention of buying anything bigger!LOL
I also want my DH to join me as his family have a history of stomach problems which is quite possibley diet related.

I am committed to doing Dax Moy's elimination diet because...
I did it once before and felt the best I have ever felt in my life and I want that back. Only this time I am not looking at it as a temporary thing to try, but as a new way of life.

I also want to stop being ashamed to go out in public because of how I look and I want to be healthy and energetic for my kids.

In the next 30 days I look forward to cutting out all sugar and especially breaking my addiction to pop.

I am committed to losing 10 pounds and at least 2 inches off my waist.

I'm doing Dax Moy's Elimination Diet Because I want to feel good, fit and healthy. I have tried all sorts of things to lose weight and none of them worked.
The results I'm committed to achieving a 30" waist (I'm just over 33 right now at 5' 4"), have flat abs, get sexier and my goal of fitting into sexy dresses again. :)
thanks for all your encouragement and motivations. More power to you.

I am commited to doing Dax Moy's elimination diet because....

1. I want to achieve my no. 1 goal I have set last January 2008. And that is to be be 145 lbs. Currently I am 210 lbs.

2. I find it the hardest diet I ever tried. I tried doing it but had such a hard time. Though it is the hardest, the few weeks I used it gave me the best weight loss result I ever had. I want to succeed this time.

3. And if I succeed this time, then I will know that I can achieve far greater things as long as I am committed to it.

I'm doing the 30 Day Elimination because I'm tired of feeling tired and sluggish. I've spent much of this year going slowly backwards with my weight and body fat and I Have to Stop! The results I am committed to acheiving are more energy, less body fat (-2%), less overall weight (-5kgs). And saying goodbye to stress eating. I'm going to look great on the beach in December!

I'm doing Dax Moy's Elimination Diet because i feel like my new blood sugar rise will lead to become type I diabetic; i slipped off the old dax program, started a new order of medication (hormonal) and have failed to peel off the weight even with d dieting i stuck to and the exercises, which just made my body hurt more and my heart rate run faster.

I'm committed to achieving a 33" waist at least, i weigh just above 200lbs and am 6feet tall. i also wish to loose about 10lbs and about 5%-10% body fat.

thank you Dax Moy
P.S. there's nothing conflicting in my pantry at the moment

My self confidence is (I guess wrongly), all wrapped up in my wieght. I am successful in other areas but I hate buying clothes as a large 16. My sole goal before Christmas is to lose 4 stone, I have lost 12 pounds already. I know the Elimination regime is a solid gold path towards that goal. I got myself off caffeine over the past 4 days since I got Dax's new challenge. GO FOR IT EVERYONE WE WILL DO IT WITH DAX. Once this goal is over I will click the link to the magic 100 but this is my biggest challenge.

I am committed to doing Dax Moy's elimination diet because...
I really need to lose 15-20 lbs and I want to feel healthy and fit. I do work out about 3-4 days a week and have been watching what I eat but I need the encouragement of a team to stay focused and committed.
Thanks

One of the Great things about Dax's Elimination diet is that the cooking is so easy, you can chuck loads of veggies into one pan and flavour as you like, curry, herby, garlicky, tonight I will have wholegrain rice which is soo much better than the tastless white crap, with chicken + veg curry, can't wait. If your stuck for ideas buy Dax's cookbook.
