Taking Off The Brakes For Fat Loss Success Part 3: Is Cortisol Keeping You Fat?

Ok, we're now at the 3rd instalment of taking off the brakes that are holding you back from serious fatloss so today we're going to start addressing brakes that are rarely, if ever, addressed by most people who are looking to get into great shape... and stay that way.

I'm talking about the endocrine system that produces and controls the flow of those ever-important hormones throughout your body.

Hormones that tell your body when to slow down, when to speed up, when to burn sugar, when to burn fat and, important to you of course, when to STORE fat.

You see, contrary to what you've been told, weight gain (and fat gain in particular) is not a simple mathematic equation of calories in vs calories out.

It's not just about burning off more than you eat and you'll somehow get thin.

If that were the case then most of the people who've spent a lifetime struggling with their weight on low calorie, high protein, low fat diets would already be stick thin, toned, strong and vibrant but, as we already know, they're not.

Some of the people you know can seemingly eat as much of practically anything they want whilst others merely have to gaze at a cookie and put on a pound. The math just doesn't add up.

Calories alone can't and don't explain why so many people are struggling to lose their body fat and keep it off. But hormones do!

You see, whilst we call food by common names that describe what they are like 'apple' or 'chicken' or 'cake', those words mean nothing to the intricately complex system of the inner world of our metabolism. All it knows of are chemicals.

Get the right chemical balance in your body and everything runs perfectly. You absorb nutrients from your food, those nutrients go to where they're most needed and the rest are either stored or expelled but nothing goes to waste and nothing
causes you any problems in how you look, feel or perform in day to day life.

Get the balance wrong though, and everything changes.

Nutrients can't get to where they're most needed, biological stress goes up, hormones are released to cope with the stress and before you know it you're losing muscle, slowing your metabolism way down and piling on the pounds.

Sounds familiar, right?

I bet it does!

But it's not JUST through your nutrition that hormones come into play, they're also affected by your lifestyle, your sleep habits, your activity levels and how you cope with stress, meaning that if any these are out of whack then you'll have a greater chance of losing muscle and piling on pounds as a result.

This is serious stuff.

In fact, inability to create a positive hormone profile is one of the major brakes that are keeping people fat, unfit, depressed and in pain.

That being the case, let's investigate how we can release the brakes in this area and start speeding up our fat loss results before we even consider joining a gym or starting a dietary regime. Just a few tweaks toward positive hormone balance can have a major impact on fat loss without any other changes taking place and, once you add even a few diet changes and some exercise, can help you to achieve quite startling results.

Sound ok to you?

Let's start today with Cortisol.

Now, I'm not going to bore you with in-depth endocrinology here, I know you just want to know how this information will benefit you so I'll keep it simple.

Cortisol is, your body's primary stress hormone and is responsible for, among other things, the 'fight or flight' response that you've heard so much about.

It works this way; when a stressor affects you in day to day life, such as being cut up in traffic, arguing with a spouse, being under a tough deadline or being chased by a wild tiger, your adrenal glands on your kidneys secrete cortisol directly into the bloodstream where it causes us to release amino acids from our muscles, glucose from the liver and fatty acids from our fat cells into the bloodstream for use as 'emergency fuel' to help us fight or flee.

So far, so good, right?

Well, normally that would be fine. Especially if those stressors are few and far between but that's not the case for most of us. Most people live in a continual state of stress where cortisol is being released time and time and time again leading to permanently elevated cortisol both in the bloodstream AND in the cells themselves.

Trouble is, whilst short exposures of cortisol are useful and can be beneficial, longterm they're downright destructive leading to:

- Increased appetite and food cravings
- Decreases in lean muscle mass
- Increased Anxiety and Depression
- Decreased libido
- Increase of PMS symptoms
- Increase in menopausal side-effects
- INCREASE IN BODY FAT

And guess where cortisol-created body fat wants to live?

Right up there on the belly!

(In later articles I'll explain how each of the hormones creates its own 'fat dump' in a different location on the body)

This means that if you're carrying a excess fat in your abdominal region that's stubborn to shift, you're more than likely to have chronically elevated cortisol causing the problem. And again, it may not have anything to do with the total number of calories you're eating.

In fact, those people who have drastically cut calories from their diets may actually be at MORE risk of gaining abdominal fat as the body tends to treat either extreme or long-term calorie restriction as a stressor and secretes (you guessed it!) cortisol in order to deal with the stress.

Strange but true!

So it's pretty clear that we need to remove this hormonal brake if we're serious about shifting fat from our bellies and keeping it off. But how?

Well, there are numerous ways in which we can re-establish normal cortisol levels in the body and start burning fat but the best are simply 'natural cures' that can be applied almost immediately and with very little expense.

In fact, the first one is absolutely free!

It's called SLEEP.

That's right, sleep is one of the most important factors in cortisol control as a lack of both quality and quantity of sleep leads to elevated cortisol and a depression of other important metabolic hormones (that we'll talk about in a later article). Fail to get enough sleep and at the right time and you'll be doomed to struggling with your bodyfat forever. Conversely, make even a few moderate sleep habit changes over the next few days and you'll start to see the fat shift.

Because cortisol is related to sleep and wake cycles and is triggered by light, you should aim to spend the last few hours before bed in a dimmed or dark room and aim to be in bed by 10pm and sleeping by 10.30pm.

It sounds too early, I know. Especially with late night TV and those emails you have to do before bed but hey, your hormones don't know about TV and email, they know stress. You want to lose fat? Then get to bed! In fact, bright TV's and bright computer screens are the last thing you want just before you hit the hay. They keep your cortisol pumping through both the light they emit and the potential for stress they evoke (Ever read a bad news email just before bed and tried to sleep?)

Sleep is one of the most under-rated fat cures there are. Many of my own personal training clients here in London have 'spontaneously' dropped 7lbs or more in a single week just from getting to bed earlier. Apply a good sleep protocol for just 7 days and you'll have all the evidence you need to become a believer.

(Note: 8 hours from midnight to 8am is NOT the same as going to bed by 10. I'll explain more when in my in-depth sleep article)

You can also help reduce your cortisol through a simple supplement strategy that provides your body with the full spectrum of nutrients required to better tolerate stress.

These should include the vitamin B family, Calcium, High dose vitamin C and magnesium.

In addition I'd recommend taking a cortisol controlling supplement like Magnolia bark and Theanine which you can get from your local health food store and have been shown to be very effective at helping control cortisol release during stressful periods.

Nutritionally, eat plenty of apples and onions which are high in quercetin and can help with reducing intercellular cortisol and grapefruit which does the same through its active substance Naringenin.

Hopefully, it should be clear that the best way to cope with stress is to avoid it altogether or at least reduce it.

Try identifying high-stress situations in advance and working out coping strategies to deal with them as they arise. Add exercise (though minimise aerobic exercise which releases more cortisol) and relaxation techniques and eat a clean and healthy diet and your cortisol levels will soon come under control.

Once they do you'll see the fat disappear faster than easier and with far less effort than ever before.

Go ahead, release your cortisol brakes today!

Start by getting some good sleep for just 7 nights and see what happens.

Taking Off The Brakes For Fat Loss Success Part 2

Dax Moy Personal Training London

In my last post I spoke about how most of us have 'brakes' applied to so many different areas of our lives that it's next to impossible to get any real headway and break the fat loss inertia that we're under.

Despite trying ever-stricter diets, ever-harder workouts and every new fatloss and fitness fad that comes on the market, it seems that few, if any, are able to see any real progress and even those that do tend to get caught up in the old fatloss 2-step of 1 step forward, 2 steps back where they lose a bunch of weight and gain it all back again.

Often with interest.

Now, it would be easy to say that it's because the diets themselves don't work or because the workouts aren't effective but that's not the case. In fact, every single diet and every single workout you've ever heard of will work for a time before coming to a grinding halt. So yes, while it's true that some workouts and some diets work better than others, the truth is they ALL work.

So, why aren't they working for you?

It's because you haven't taken the brakes off, plain and simple.

And that's a shame because it's so easy to take them off and start seeing some very real progress almost immediately but, of course, for that to happen you need to know what those brakes are in the first place, right?

So here's the first brake you need to remove to start seeing results.

You're Unclear Why You're Here.

It's true.

Most people talk about 'getting in shape' or 'losing some weight' or 'toning up' because they don't have the slightest clue about what they really want to look like, feel like or what they want their body to be able to do. So instead of clarity of focus which, of course, will lead to clarity of action, they are 'fuzzy' about what they want

to accomplish from their exercise and diet efforts.

The trouble is, fuzzy don't cut it when it comes to achieving amazing, spectacular, jaw-dropping results.

In fact, fuzzy kills them dead before they even start.

You've no doubt heard the expression 'you can't hit a target you never hang' which means, of course, that if you don't know what you're aiming at you stand no chance of achieving it and this applies building as much to building a great body as it does to anything else.

Simply put, if you don't know EXACTLY what 'getting in shape' 'losing some weight' or 'toning up' means to you, then you're never going to achieve any of these things, let alone stay that way.

As I'm always telling my personal training clients, you've got to be clear why you're here.

Without this clarity you're left to the mercy of chance and, worse still, willpower.

If you don't know what you want to accomplish then it's a roll of the dice as to whether you'll accomplish ANYTHING at all. This is why you often here people complain of having gone to the gym for years yet getting no real results.

It's because their efforts aren't focused.

It's also why you hear of people falling off their diets, dropping out of their training and trying again and again and again through willpower to get back on track. They'll never do it though. Not if they don't have something to apply that will to in the first place. Without a clear goal to aim at, they'll be caught up in a perpetual battle with their willpower and hoping against hope that 'this time, this one time...' they'll finally achieve the breakthrough their hoping for.

So that's the bad news!

But before you go thinking this is all sounding a bit 'doom and gloom', think again.

As powerful a brake to fatloss success as fuzzy focus can be, it's easy to remove it and see some pretty amazing

results in super-quick time.

It's as simple as choosing.

Choosing what you want to achieve, why you want to achieve it and what you're willing to do to have it come true for you in your life. It can be summarised in 4 simple steps that you can apply right away to start seeing results.

They are:

1. Know what you want to achieve and by when - Be clear why you're here. What does the perfect you look like...

EXACTLY? Picture your thighs, your butt, your stomach, your chest, your arms and anywhere else that you'd like to see a change. What do you want them to look like? Do you know the weight you want to be? The clothing size? Specific measurements?

Write them down.

If you don't but you know what you want to look like then write that down instead.

"I want Jessica Alba waistline, J-Lo butt, Jennifer Aniston Arms..." is a good way to get focused on the outcome you most desire from your efforts and definitely more inspiring than the vague goals that most of us set for ourselves.

Regardless of what your goals are, once you've set them, set a date for achieving them. Make sure the date excites and motivates you so that it feels close enough that you know you'll have to work for it but far enough away that you believe it's possible.

Losing 3olbs in the next 2 weeks may sound great but you know you're unlikely to achieve it so you won't even start.

Losing 30lbs in the next 2 years hardly lights a fire under you either, right?

Challenge yourself, stretch yourself with what you really want to achieve and by when. This will do more for remving your brakes than practically any other step you can take.

2. Know why you want the goal - It's been said that those of us who have a strong enough WHY can deal with almost any HOW. In other words, if we know why we want something, we'll overcome practically any barriers that are keeping that thing from us.

Stands to reason then, that if you've had trouble staying on a fat loss diet and exercise program that you probably don't have a strong enough why. If you did, you'd already have the results you want, wouldn't you?

Getting clear on why you're here means being honest about why you want to achieve these new goals. Honest with yourself. Most people aren't.

They tell themselves that they just want to look good on the beach or fit into their old jeans but the truth is, most of us want much, much more than that. We want to feel more confident, feel more sexy, attract or keep a partner, be around for our kids and, as strange as it sounds, we want to like ourselves again. Most of us don't like ourselves very much at all.

Knowing why you're doing what you're doing makes the efforts worth while. You can see the benefits of passing up that chocolate bar or giving up alcohol for a few months if you know what it's all for and you believe that you'll get there. You won't give up anything for more than 5 minutes if you don't have a real, compelling reason for doing it.

So, why do YOU want these goals?

3. Know the price - Everything has a price and you simply have to pay it or you don't get the goods. A great body is no exception. It costs time, effort, lifestyle changes, commitment and yes, evene a little money. If you're willing to pay these then the body of your dreams is yours, guaranteed. If you aren't then...

Trouble is, most people never truly ask themselves what the price is going to BEFORE they set out on their new diet and exercise program. So they do ok for a week or two then get sidetracked by the office party or the temptation of alcohol over dinner at their favourite restaurant or that tub of icecream that they've always had on a Friday night to unwind.

They'd never get sidetracked in the first-place if they'd taken some time to think about the price they may have to pay to get what they want. For example, if you know in advance that for 30 days you committed to not drinking alcohol, eating wheat or having sugar then it's far easier to plan your life and remain motivated than if you simply say that you're going to 'cut back' or 'do your best to eat healthy'.

Knowing the price in advance means that you're not going to be tripped up by the unexpected events and temptations that will undoubtedly come your way while you're working toward your goals. NOT knowing the price get you what you've been getting up to now... frustrated!

What price will you have to pay to achieve your goal?

4. Be Willing To Pay The Price - So you know what you want, why you want it and what it's going to cost you. That's great. You've come further than most people ever will to removing the psychological and motivational brakes that hold them back from their weight loss goals but that's still not enough to guarantee your success.

In order for that to happen you need to ask yourself "Am I willing to pay this price?"

Perhaps not surprisingly, few people really are. They say they are but they're not.

What about you?

Given the goals you've set for yourself, the deadlines you're working, the reason you want to achieve them and the time, effort and lifestyle changes you're going to have to make to make your fat loss and fitness goals a reality, are you still willing to pay that price?

Don't mess around here, this is important!

If you've realised that you're NOT willing to pay then either amend the goals or change the timelines so that you get to a point where you ARE. Don't, whatever you do, start out on a goal that you know in advance you're not going o see through. It's disheartening and leaves you feeling frustrated and like a failure.

Only work on goals that you're 100% committed to seeing come to life, if not change them.

If you ARE 100% committed to your goals then great! You've accomplished what so few people ever manage to do. You've

made a true decision to have your body and your life the way that YOU want it.

The word 'decision' shares its roots with the word 'incision' and it means that when you decide you 'cut off from all other possibility'. A true decision is a powerful thing and it's the surest way to guarantee that the major brakes holding you back from looking and feeling the way you want to will be removed and that you can finally make get over even the most stubborn obstacles that that have been keeping you from your goals.

None of what I've shared here is exactly rocket science is it?

In fact, you could say that it's all commense sense stuff really, but then, it's not really that comon to see this level of sense applied to most people's goals. Except those who are actually achieving them, of course!

You should join them.

Take 10 minutes today to sit down and remove the brakes around this area for yourself. You'll feel more focus, more passion, more purpose than you have in ages and when you do, amazing things will start to happen for you.

I guarantee it!

Take Off The Brakes For Fat Loss Success Part 1

Well, I'm finally back from my month-long family vacation to Thailand, The Land Of Smiles, and have come home to literally thousands of emails from my readers asking how they can get back on track with their fat loss and inch loss goals after a summer of too much drinking, too much eating and far too little exercise.

It seems that the summer flab-monster has paid far too many people a visit this year : )

Now, you might expect that my first advice to you would be to simply jump on the diet and exercise bandwagon and 'just do it' as the famous Nike slogan says but it's not.

You see, as much as we all like to think that 'just do it' will, well, just do it in terms of our fat loss, the truth is it won't.

You know this already.

You know that whenever you've thrown yourself in at the deep end of a new diet and exercise plan that your best intentions very soon fall by the wayside and you end up back at square one disappointed, disillusioned and more frustrated than ever, right?

Right!

So this time we're going to take a different tack.

We're going to do what I call 'releasing the brakes' to absolutely guarantee that your journey into fat loss and inchloss will go smoothly, surely and faster than ever before.

Now, you may never have heard of releasing the brakes but it's something we've done here at my London Personal Training Studios for years and we explain it to our clients this way;

Dax Moy Personal Training Studios

Imagine jumping into your car and getting ready to drive to work. You pop the key in the ignition, turn it and the engine roars to life.

You check your mirrors, signal and get set for your manouver out of your parking space but instead of smoothly pulling away from the kerb, the engine screams out louder and louder still, the car vibrates and you go nowhere at all.

You give the car more gas and more still, yet stubbornly, it still refuses to move despite all your efforts.

You have one last attempt, put the pedal to the metal, engine roaring louder than ever and slowly, grudingly, the car starts to roll forward.

Just then, you look down and realise the silly mistake you'd made.

Your park-brake was still on and you had your foot on the footbrake.

No wonder it had been so difficult to get started!

Of course, this scenario sounds ridiculous when you read it here doesn't it? You'd never make such a stupid mistake with your car, right?

But are you aware that this is the exact mistake you're making time and time and time again with your efforts to lose fat and keep it off?

Just like in the car scenario above, it's likely that your attempts at fat loss have been focused on doing more and more and more or 'giving it more gas' when it comes to your workouts, your nutrition and your lifestyle changes and, also like the scenario above, it's likely that you're using up tons of your 'fuel' in the form of energy, motivation and enthusiam without ever really getting much of a result.

Yet think about this; if you take of the brakes that are keeping you from your fat loss results you'll get there with far less effort in far less time and achieve far MORE of a result.
You only have to take off the brakes.

But what ARE these brakes? What do they look like and how can we take them off?

Over the next week I'll be exposing each of the 5 major classifications of brakes that are keeping you from achieving spectacular fat loss results and sharing with you exactly what you need to do to release each one in turn.

All YOU have to do is release each brake as we identify it and you'll see, feel and experience a far faster level of fat loss than you've ever known before.

Tomorrow I'll be sharing the first and most important brake of them all and sharing a simple yet seriously effective way of removing it immediately and for good.

Til then!

Here's How I lost 11.2 lbs and 11.5 inches in just 30 Days.

Here's yet another 30 day success story, this time from Cynthia who has changed dramatically during her time on my 30 day personal training body transformation challenge which just finished.

Cyn 'only' lost just over 11lbs in 30 days but achieved a pretty amazing inchloss and transformation I'm sure you'll agree.

Just look at the pictures to see how much she's changed... especially around the waist where you can see the fat has literally melted off.

Let's hear from Cyn!

Dax Moy Personal Training London

Here are my final results!

Weight 167.8 start 179 down 11.2 lbs (pound per week on average 2.8 lbs)
Chest 39 start 41 down -2
Waist 33 start 36 down -3
Hips 41 start 44 down -3
Thighs 24.5 start 26 down -1.5
Calves 14 start 15 down -1
Arm 11 start 12 down - 1

Total inches lost overall 11.5!!

"Well this has been quite a journey!

A journey of self awareness and determination . . . I have learned self discipline, proper food management, finding time to dedicate to exercising (time management) and learning to say "NO".

My name is Cynthia and I am from Alberta Canada and I have lost 11.2 pounds of unwanted fat in 30 days. That is 2.8 pounds of weight loss a week on average. I also lost 11.5 inches overall and am able to fit into clothes I have not worn in years!

I am so grateful to have been pick for this program and will continue using Dax's program and the tools he gave us to reach my goal weight.

In the past I have tried other programs, such weight watchers, but I did not see them through and quite just before I started seeing any results. I have always been in shape, but after I turned 35 it was, as the expression goes, all down hill from there.

When I turned 40 I was at my heaviest. I was in the 190s and could barely tie my own shoes. I think that was my breaking point. It was depressing and I was in a rut.

When I turned 41, I had had enough and started to do some research. I came across Dax's program and when he announced that he was looking for guinea pigs I was ecstatic.

I had tried the Elimination Diet before, but again did not stick with it and what little results I had seen disappeared. When I was picked for the program I made a promise to myself to follow this through!

I didn't want to be overweight anymore.

Although the first week was pretty tough, hard and scary (because what if I failed AGAIN), I managed to persevere, stayed strong and stick with the program with the help of Dax's advice and encouragement.

I was so happy to see 3 inches come off my waist and hips. Also my belly went down considerably and I didn't feel so bloated. I haven't reached my goal yet, but now I have the proper tools and willpower to succeed.

There is nothing stopping me now.

I recommend this program to anyone who has reached their limit and who are serious about losing weight and seeing results fast.

It is not just a another diet . . . this program changes your life! Thanks Dax. I would love to give you a hug in person! xoxoxox"

Cyn has done incredibly, don't you agree?

Considering this was all completed in just 30 days I think it's amazing! Most fat loss programs out there are pretty happy to have this happen in 12 weeks yet first Martin, now Cyn have shown just what's possible when you commit to getting your results.

More tomorrow!

30 Day Fat Loss Results With London Personal Trainer Dax Moy

30 Day Fat Loss Results With London Personal Trainer Dax Moy

"Hi i'm Martin 33 years old from Blackpool, England.

I have been overweight for YEARS! I have tried everything to shift the flab slowly creeping over my body.

I know everything there is to know about healthy eating or so I thought! I have tried Atkins, Weight Watchers, Slimfast, Numerous online diets. Stupid and probably dangerous diets, cabbage soup, 3 day detox I have joined Gym's played sports etc everything and anything.

I have never managed to keep to any of the programs for more than a month or so and even then there would be the odd cheat.

I decided to join Dax Moy's 30-in-30 fat loss program as it sounded very challenging I am fiercely competitive and I loved the idea of following a set routine and exercise plan for 30 days and seeing fast results. My problem is that I get bored and if I don't see results my willpower disappears. I liked the idea of being accountable to Dax and knowing that he was monitoring my progress would keep me on track. Basically I didn't have anything else to try and I needed to lose weight I needed someone to give me a kick up the butt and make me do something.

The program is tough, it has to be its only for 30 days. It took me a while to get used to not having coffee and just drinking water but the eating clean was great I did suffer detox headaches for the first 2-3 days but took the advice Dax gave us and worked through it. After about day 4 I began to feel amazing really refreshed and healthy I began to enjoy it and I loved the fact that it kept changing The exercises really push your limits and you can actually feel yourself getting stronger and fitter and you compete against yourself for times and repetitions which is definately motivating.

My results in 30 days are staggering I cannot believe the transformation, everyone keeps telling me I look amazing, my skin is glowing (so i'm told!) I am sleeping better, I feel like a different person I cannot believe in 30 days this is achievable I have felt really well in myself where normally I dont feel great I get very tired and stressed and dont sleep well etc.

My results:

Weight lost 20lb

Chest 3.5" lost

Waist 5" lost

Hips 1.5" lost

Thigh 1" lost

Calf 0.5" lost

Arm 0.5" lost

Weight 16st 2lb at start 14st 10lb at finish

Chest 44" down to 40.5"

Waist 41.5" down to 36.5"

Hips 44" down to 42.5"

London Personal Trainer Recommends Vegetarian Meal Plans

Are You - Or Should You Be - A Vegetarian?

Well, to be honest, my personal opinion is no.

I believe that as humans we've evolved to be able to both enjoy and benefit from good, clean, organic meats that have been raised naturally and slaughtered humanely for our consumption.

On top of this, I just ENJOY meat in my diet and feel far better when it's present than when it's not.

That said, I acknowledge and respect the right to choose too and I certainly don't knock anyone for choosing to adopt vegetarian or vegan approaches to healthy living.

In fact, since I first wrote the elimination diet program 3 years ago I've often been asked about how the ED and vegetarian lifestyles can be best combined to bring about the best results.

And I've mostly had no answer.

See, I only really advise on things I know about and as a self-confessed carnivore I know very little about 'real life'vegetarianism. Trouble is, I didn't really know of many resources to refer my readers to either...

...until now!

I've been looking for a true-blue vegetarian and vegan expert who could advise my readers on how to utilise 'use the same day'principles into their nutritional approaches and, well, I think I've found one.

Vegan and vegetarian nutrition expert Kardena Pauza is just putting the finishing touches on a product she's calling, surprise, surprise, Easy Veggie Meal Plans. I've managed to get a bit of an inside scoop, and I like what I've seen so far and think that you might too.

Now, it's not 100% compatible with the ED (Just a little too much cheese for my liking) but still, with a few minor tweaks the approach will definitely work for you.

Kardena has put together a couple of excellent free meal plans and a free report called 'The 10 Vegetarian Foods NOT To Eat On A Weight Loss Program' which I think is just great. You should definitely check out food number 3... shocking!

http://tinyurl.com/lhb5ro <= You can grab your free meal plans and report here

The report's even worth getting if you're NOT a veggie as there's some solid information in there that most of us could benefit from.

So look, do me a favor will you?

Download the reports and tell me what you think of them. As I said, I'm not vegetarian and have no intention of becoming one but I'd love to know what others are thinking of Kardena's approach to nutrition so that I can recommend it in the future... or not.

So once you've read it, pop back here and tell me your thoughts.

I'd LOVE to hear 'em!

Go on then... go get the freebie : )

What's Your Number One Fat Loss Question For London's Leading Personal Trainer?

I had over nearly 400 applications for my new 30lbs in 30 days program which started Monday.

I could only choose 29.

They're doing amazingly well already with inches dropping like crazy and some people over 6lbs down already.

Since monday!

Not bad huh?

But it's gotten me thinking about all those people I didn't choose. Nearly 400 of them who badly wanted in on the program but didn't get a place. And it made me think about how I should help them a little more.

So here goes!

I want to know what your number one fat loss question is. I'm going to answer it for you so that you're able to start getting great results just like my 30 in 30 group.

In fact, I promise you that I'm going to answer ALL of the questions you send me.

ALL of them, even if there are hundreds.

So now there's no excuse.

No reason not to get your results.

Just send me your question in the comment section below and i'll get to answering it.

Do it now! : )

Here's how To Lose 4lbs In 24hours Without Counting Calories, Popping Pills Or.... Being Stupid!

Man... this has been TOUGH!

So many great people wanting to join the program but limited places and yes, they've all been filled.

Sorry!

I know there'll be a lot of disappointed people reading this but I have to give my all to the group going through right now...

And BOY are they going through!

We're ONE DAY into the trial and already they're getting results.

I kid you not.

On average they've 2lb since starting the program yesterday with Liz Roddis hitting a 4lb weightloss already.

But it's not just the weight.

Already the inches are falling away. Sarah has lost 1.5 inches from her waist already, Natasha has lost a combine 1.75 inches and others are reporting similar.

Remember, this is WITHOUT calorie counting, without supplements and without going hungry. There are no pills, powders or skinny shakes and they're all allowed to eat freely.

They've only done about 1 hour of exercise too.

Now sure, I'm not going to pretend that people have lost 4lbs of fat. They haven't. There's fat in there for sure, but what they're already experiencing is the effect of giving up 'bloat' water from their bodies due to the elimination diet and the heightened metabolism from my 'sneaky' metabolic triggering techniques.

We've a long way to go for sure, but I'd say that these guys are doing pretty well for 1 day wouldn't you?

I'll be posting updates here throughout the trial and, of course, telling YOU how you can increase the speed of your own results, but if you want to hear 'from the horses mouth' from these guys and ask them questions or just give 'em a little support.

I want you to see that this is real and not just some figment of Dax Moy's marketing imagination : )

It's FREE and you'll get TONS of great results and you can get support from all the great people in my community at www.daxmoy.ning.com

If you were going to do 30 in 30 anyway, why not do the diet component? There's a bunch of great exercise tips in my community too...

30lbs in 30 days Guninea Pigs Now Chosen!

Yep, seriously, it's been nailbiting stuff deciding the final 'contestants' of my 30-in-30 fatloss program.

It's been hard, I can tell you.

MUCH harder than I ever thought it would be!

See, I thought I'd invite my readers to try out for a place and that I'd get 20-30 people serious enough to give the program a good go but instead I got...

...386!

(I dealt with more emails and blog posts than this but many were double or triple applications)

And I've actually reviewed each and every one of them myself.

I made a first cut, second cut, third cut and so on until I got down to those that I felt most able to give the program a good run and who were likely to get the best results from it.

Of course, along the way that's meant cutting out a lot of great people who really did deserve a place on the program and I genuinely feel a little sad tonight thinking about all the people I had to cut.

If you're one of them and you won't be joining me on the program this time around, I'm sorry. It's nothing personal. I just had to go with my heart on this...

Anyway, I guess you just want to know if you're in or out, right?

Well, here goes!

Those who will be working with me at my London studios are (drumroll please)...

Natasha Broke
Alison Louise Leask
Joe Strydom
Rob Fitzgerald
'Divine Angel'
Jin Sandhu
'China Blue'
'Belinda'

Yes, that's EIGHT People instead of six. I extended it... but still had to say no to 30 other people that wanted to come to my Islington centre.

For my 'international' component the following people will be starting with me on Monday:

Margot Faircloth
ShirleyAnn
'Honeybee'
Marilyn
'Carpediem'
Catherine
Jazia
Angela W
'2 DOGS'
Amy Jo
Bradford
'Britgirl'
'One Middle Aged Woman'
'Chocolatebutton'
Amanda
Joan Bliefernicht
Cyn
Andrew Johnston
Pastor Greg UMC
'Smoochysteph'
'Monkeydogoohoohaahaah'

As you can see, I've broken my rule again and instead of 12 I've invited 21 people (I'm too soft, I know but...)

As you can also see, my 'accidentally on purpose' mistake of not asking you all to leave your full names means that I only have the blog names for some of you : )

So look, if you were named, you need to send me an email to my studios at daxmoypts{at}aol.com with the subject line IN FULL CAPS: I'VE BEEN CHOSEN FOR DAX'S 30-IN-30 PROGRAM! (This is important as my inbox is rammed full of mail right now) and I'll get you signed up and tell you what the next step is.

It's going to be a great 30 days but I promise you, I have high expectations of all my participants and won't be letting any of you off the hook if you drop the ball... I'm going back to my drill-instructor mode on this one. I have to or you won't accomplish the 30lbs.

If you weren't selected...

I apologise.

I really do.

I want to help as many people as possible but I don't want to make the program less effective by trying to help more people than I can possibly manage by myself.

That said, I still think that I and my team can really help you.

I'd like to recommend that you join my community at http://www.daxmoy.ning.com if you haven't already, download my free elimination diet and support each other as you go through it together.

In my community you'll find HUNDREDS of posts that'll help you achieve amazing things in a very short period of time and, of course, I and my team will be there too to make your journey a little easier.

Whatever you do, I genuinely wish you well.

I also just want to thank you once more for trusting me with this goal. I know it took a lot for many of you to post here and I appreciate the trust given here over the last few days. I won't forget it. i promise.

Truth, joy and love

30lb in 30 days... Still Want In?

Wow!

I DEFINITELY wasn't expecting that!

Nearly 200 people have applied for one of the 18 places I have available on the 'Lose 30lbs In 30 Days Challenge' that's starting Monday and I have to pick them from some really, really great applications.

It's gonna be hard : )

In fact, it may be a little TOO hard.

So...

Instead of trying to 'sell' you all into getting onto the program I'm going to do something completely different.

I'm going to see if I can put you OFF!

You see, I reckon that the idea of 30lbs in 30 days sounds pretty cool to many of you and I'm sure that you'd love to see the end result in the mirror after a month of following my exercise, nutrition and lifestyle strategies but I wonder if you're ready, REALLY ready, to put forward the effort required to reach this amazing goal.

Let's see shall we?

==> Are you ready, willing and able to give up COMPLETELY all wheat, dairy, caffeine, alcohol, sugar and processed foods for the duration of the program?

==> Are you ready, willing and able to exercise 7 days a week for around 1 hour with no excuses about work, kids, 'feeling tired' or anything else?

==> Are you ready, willing and able to train HARD and put forth 100% effort in each of your workouts to bring about the best possible response to training?

==> Are you ready, willing and able to utilise safe nutritional methods like carb cycling, intermittent fasting and more to bring about a rapid reduction in fat and overall weight?

==> Are you ready, willing and able to follow lifestyle guidance regarding sleep patterns, stress reduction and hydration?

==> Are you ready, willing and able to COMPLETE the 30 day program with no excuses for dropping out?

If you answered yes to ALL of the above questions then go ahead and put your name in the box below and you'll be shortlisted and notified about my selection at midnight tonight.

If not, if you realise it's just not for you then hey, thanks for reading : )

You need to get a move on though, I've a lot of names to get through and not much time to do it so put your details in the box and we'll be ready to go!

Human Fat Loss Guinea Pigs Wanted! Lose 30lbs In 30 Days

Yeah, I know the term 'guinea-pig' isn't too flattering but hey, you know what I mean, right?

Here's the deal!

I'm just putting the finishing touches on a special new fat loss program that I've been working hard behind the scenes to create for a while now.

The program is aimed at RAPID fat loss and will involve 30 days of intensive exercise, nutrition and lifestyle coaching where I'll be taking my chosen subjects through step-by-step 'how to' processes that will literally convert them into fat-burning furnaces of the most amazing kind.

If that's just set your hype alarms off then chill...

I'm not SELLING anything... yet! : )

I'm looking for 2 sets of guinea pigs to go through the program for FREE as my... guests (you won't feel like a guest when you go through it).

One set of 12 people will be chosen for my online group and a set of 6 will be chosen to work with myself and my team at my Islington, London studios

The chosen few in each group will be told absolutely everything they need to know to accomplish... wait for it...

...30lbs In 30 Days!

Now, before you start telling me that it can't be done or it's 'unsafe', let me tell you that it CAN be done (I've helped numerous people achieve this over the years) and it IS safe (rapid weight loss is fine as long as macro and micronutrient levels are maintained at a level that supports health and that no dehydration methods are employed in order to achieve the loss).

And look, I'm not some exercise and nutrition extremist anyway, my approach is based upon healthy practices and, whilst aspects of the program will be intense, they're not going to ask people do starve themselves (or even count calories) and they won't require marathon training sessions of any kind (1 hour a day is hardly 'extreme', is it?)

So here's what I'm looking for...

==> I'm looking for men and women who are SERIOUS, as in 100% absolutely, definitely, without a doubt committed to losing 30lbs in the next 30 days

==> I'm looking for people who will start the program, follow ALL advice exactly as given FINISH the program to completion rather than doing it 'kinda, sorta, maybe' and then dropping out before it's over.

==> I'm looking for people that are ready, willing and able to blog their daily journey with me (including before, during and after pictures) and who will allow me permission to use their testimonials and pictures in future promotional material related to the program

==> I'm looking for people who are sick and tired of the way they look and feel and are in that 'place' where this is a must for them.

==> I'm looking for people who have access to resistance equipment or a gym, or who are prepared to purchase it by Sunday 21st June when the program starts.

If you're one of these people then you MAY qualify for one of my 12 online places.

In addition, if you want to work with me and my team in Islington, London then you need to be willing to do the following:

==> Attend AT LEAST 4 training sessions a week in Islington and carry out 'homework' as directed on the other days.

That's it!

Pretty simple, right?

Or, at least, it's simple if you're a seriously committed individual who absolutely, definitely want to achieve this in 30 days.

If it all sounds too much for you then you don't really need to read on, the program clearly isn't for you.

"Why's Dax Doing this?"

It should be obvious, but in the interests of transparency I'll spell it out.

I'm looking for walking, talking advertisements for the power and effectiveness of this new program and I'm willing to forgo payment to get them.

The way I figure it is this; people are sceptical. They don't really believe that results like this are possible so, if I were to just start selling the program on a website today, even though it works, I'd probably sell a handful only, as people wouldn't believe it was possible.

However...

At the end of this 30 day program I'm going to have 18 people demonstrating the absolute proof of my claims to anyone who'll listen. And it'll be in 'real time' too. None of those photoshopped before and after pictures that show miracle transformations (including fake tan and sucking tummies in).

Once my readers see the results for themselves I'll have no problem whatsoever selling the program. I guarantee it.

So THAT's my reason. It's up front for everyone to see. Nothing hidden.

Still Interested?

If you're still interested, here's what you need to do...

Use the comments section of this blog to tell my why YOU should be given one of these valuable places (They ARE valuable too. Working 1:1 with my costs £150 an hour!).

Go ahead and 'sell' yourself into the program by telling me absolutely anything and everything you think I need to know in order to make up my mind abut giving you a place.

My team and I will personally choose the 18 lucky winners.

I'll be announcing the chosen places at midnight on Thursday, so there's no time to hang about.

If you want in and you're SERIOUS (Did I mention that already?) then leave your message in the comments area below.

Two EXTREME Diets... Which Would YOU Choose?

I'm just writing a bunch of new nutrition articles for my blog and newsletter where I'm comparing the various approaches that people use to reduce fat fast.

Believe me, I've looked at TONS of different eating plans and philosophies over the years and have a really good idea about why people eat the way they  do but I'm still a little puzzled by the way many people think on the subject.

So I decided to do a little test : )

I've found 2 examples of diets that, by most people's standards are pretty extreme.

One involves fasting several times a week and promises rapid fat loss for those who follow this approach. It's got scores of scientific evidence and success testimonials supporting it.

The other involves using 'strategic cheating' where you're allowed to eat pizza, pasta, and coke and yet still drop fat. This one too, has tons of success stories that back up the authors claims. (Seems a bit far fetched to me and is about as far from the Elimination Diet program I run as can possibly be)

So here's the thing...

I'm interested in finding out how people feel about diets. What they most believe will work... and why!

Just check out these 2 diets and then leave a message in the comments area below and tell me what you think of these diets which sit at the opposite ends of a very wide spectrum.

I'd love to know (and I think it'll be a great topic for a 'big' article)

Can you help?

Go check 'em out right away!

Dax Moy

P.S - Which diet makes the most sense to you?

P.P.S - Time to plug my own diet : )

A little while ago I did an interview with Kettlebell Fatloss Expert Troy Anderson on how and why the elimination diet works. Troy asked a bunch of great questions so I asked if he'd let me give my own readers a copy and he agreed.

Here it is!

3 Foods You Should NEVER Eat!

*******************************************************************
Thanks to my buddy Craig Ballantyne over at Turbulence Training who's email newsletter this afternoon prompted me to write this article.
*******************************************************************

It's a hard thing to say NEVER about anything.

Never is a long time.

Never is... EVER, right?

So, given that I'm not an extremist, I guess I should retitle this to ' 3 Foods You Should Never Eat If You're Serious About Losing Fat And Getting Into Great Shape'

Fair enough?

So, what are they?

What are these foods that are likely to cost you the look and feel of the body you want?

Let's see...

No.1 - Wheat

For several reasons, wheat has an amazing ability to keep you from looking and feeling great due to the fact that, in its processed form, ground wheat flour practically becomes sugar, pure high glycemic carbohydrate that'll whack your insulin sky high and command your cells to store fat.

If that wasn't bad enough, many people are intolerant to processed wheat flour meaning that they suffer gastro-intestinal problems that can interfere with the digestion of other foods. This intolerance often leads to the storage of a huge amount of extra water into the system as the body tries to 'dilute' the effect of the wheat.

For this reason, skip wheat in all its forms while you're trying to get into great shape and only add it back in small amounts to monitor its effect on your body.

No.2 - Pasteurised/Homogenised Milk Products

Can milk really be that bad?

After all, most of us grew up on milk when we were younger and it didn't do us any harm... did it?

Well, that's a moot point as we can't turn back the clock and see what it was doing to you but the truth is, the milk we get in the stores today is far, far inferior to the stuff we used to drink when we were kids (especially when you're 38 like me!).

Back then you'd get thick, creamy milk with that glop of cream that clogged the mouth of the bottle when you first bought it. Not so today. Homogenisation means that the fat in the milk is now broken down into tiny molecules that hang suspended throughout the milk rather than floating to the top.

This is not done for the benefit of the drinker, rather it's done to extend the 'shelf life' of the milk out to as much as 11 days. Trouble is these micro-molecules of fat are largely undigestible and may even be harmful due to the fact that increases levels of Xanthine Oxydase in the bloodstream which is closely linked with heart disease.

Pasteurisation's not too good either.

First of all, the flash heating of the milk kills of the very enzymes that could help us to digest the milk in the first place, leaving our own stomaches to work overtime in the digestion process. Then, consider that the calcium is rendered indigestible by the process, the vitamin A is wiped out and the B and C vitamins are reduced by half (or more) and you realise that you're drinking calories with very few nutrients.

Why bother?

No.3 - Caffeine

Caffeine is the world's most widely drug.

And it IS a drug!

(I should know, I can, at times, be the world's biggest addict!)

Sure, we drink it socially, we relax to it (or think we are) and we tend to see it as pretty harmless. Because of this we drink bloody gallons of the stuff!

In fact, whilst the average consumption of caffeine worldwide is around 76mg, the US, Canada and UK are far closer on average to 300mg with Finland and Sweden approaching 400mg.

What's the problem with this?

Well, excessive caffeine consumption can and does lead to either chronic stress or adrenal fatigue which, among other things is often accompanied by malabsorption and maldigestion of nutrients, weakness, breakdown of muscle tissue, increased abdominal fat, blood sugar disturbances and more.

Also, it's PROVEN that caffeine adversely affects sleep which is vital component of any fat loss or muscle building program.

Still want that cup of coffee or tea?

Look, I'm not saying that you're never going to have a spaghetti, a glass of milk or a cup of coffee ever again. I like all of those things myself from time to time. But the truth is, when taken regularly, when consumed in large amounts or as the staple of your diet they're all bad stuff.

When taken during your attempts to shift bodyfat fast, they're worse!

Sure, there's a lot of conflicting information out there about these things. One 'expert' tell you to avoid them, one say you can have a little and yet another tells you that you can eat freely of them all.

Who's right?

Well, given that over 38,000 people have downloaded and used my FREE Elimination Diet to amazing effect, losing on average 15-25lbs in 30 days, I'll freely admit to you that I'm biased in my answer. I've seen these principles bring about changes like nothing else, and all without counting calories or weighing foods.

Sure, we all want to believe that 'cheat' diets that allow pizza, potato chips, donuts and coke will be ok, but we know that's not true don't we?

Just look around at all the people you know who are eating that stuff and decide for yourself whether that route is the right one or not.

I'll be back tomorrow with another 3 foods you should never eat but until then, pop on over to My FREE Elimination Diet and grab a copy for yourself. You don't HAVE to do it, just grab it check it out.

You'll soon realise why the only real way to 'lean up' and drop body fat is to clean-up.

Seeya tomorrow!

Your 15 Minute Beach Body Rescue Plan

want to get beach body ready?

Can you believe it? May is almost upon us already!

If you're like most people you're probably already picking out your holiday clothes and thinking ahead to when you can finally hit the beach, soak up some sun and get some well earned R and R.

But then it hits you. Sun, sea and sand all equal skimpy clothes and to make the most of those you've gotta have a body to go with them!

PANIC!!

Baring our all on holiday is often a terrifying prospect for many of us. If you feel self-conscious about your hip, thighs, stomach or indeed anywhere then it's likely that your holiday will be spent in a mild (sometimes not-so-mild) state of paranoia that can actually detract from your enjoyment of your time away from work. Instead of relaxing and enjoying your freedom you're doing the 'does my bum look big in this?' bit.

Does this sound familiar to you? If it does, you're not alone. But what can you do about it?

Well, there are plenty of things that you can do if you're willing to put forth a little effort over the coming weeks. No, strike that. You'll have to put forward A LOT of effort if you're going to pull this off in time.

[Hey, don't blame me! It's not my fault that you've overeaten and sat on your bum all winter!]

First of all, I want you to take out your diary. Starting TODAY I want you to find at least 15 minutes EACH DAY where you'll be able to carry out your conditioning program. Actually make the effort to put this time into the diary just like you would for any other appointment. In fact, this is more important than any other appointment because it's with yourself.

If you have a mobile phone with a reminder on it then programme your appointment there too. In fact, write this appointment down in as many places as you can so that you can't accidentally-on-purpose forget to exercise.

I think you get the idea by now. We're placing MASSIVE priority and importance upon these appointments. If we don't, they simply won't happen!

I can hear some of you saying 'but I really don't have the time to do this everyday!' To that I say 'Rubbish'. If you can't even find 15 minutes then you're simply not trying! 15 minutes is the MINIMUM amount that you'll need. Ideally it'll be twice this amount.

Next, go to your food cupboard and get rid of all of the processed food that you've been storing up. If it's got an 'E' or a number in the ingredients list it's outta there. (As an Elimination Diet subscriber you should already be most of the way there, right?)

From now until your hols you'll be consuming only 'real' food. Any meat or fish you want, any veg or any fruits you fancy as long as they aren't preserved in any way.

Why?

The preserving processes that are used on foods make them 'anti-nutrients' with many of them having similar properties to modern plastics. These foods wreak havoc on the digestive and immune systems and can lead to overeating and increased fat storage.

Cleaning up your diet, even without restricting your calorie intake is a fantastic way to change your appearance. After all, we've all heard the old adage 'you are what you eat' haven't we?

And now for the actual workout.

I know what you're thinking. 'How can I possibly make a difference in just 15 minutes a day?'.

Sounds a bit like one of those dodgy infomercial promises doesn't it? Well sure, if I were promising results without effort but that's not the case here. In fact, you're going to have to put forward LOTS of effort to make this work. We're talking consistency AND intensity here, which is normally what's missing in most people's programs.

[Note: I'm assuming that there are no orthopedic or medical problems present. If there are then you should consult your primary health care provider or a certified personal trainer before commencing the program]

Day One

Warm up with some brisk walking, stair climbing or skipping for about 3 min. Perform the following circuit for 30 seconds of each exercise with 30 seconds rest:

1. Squats
2. Shoulder Presses
3. Abdominal Curls
4. Lunges
5. Pushups (or kneeling variation)
6. Dumbell Rows

Repeat the circuit twice.

Now, be sure to build up to this, so don't go all out for the first couple of workouts. However, intensity is important so as soon as you feel able you should really start putting forward as much effort as you can into each 30 seconds.

At the end of the circuits, stretch out each muscle for about 30 seconds.

Day two

This is your CV day. Choose any two or three activities from the list below and perform 3 minute 'bursts' of high effort. Rest for a minute or two in between and then move onto the next activity.

Power Walking
Running
Sprints
Stair Climbing
Cycling
Skipping
Martial arts punch and kick combination s
Rowing

Or any other CV activity that you may enjoy.

Simply alternate these two days between now and your holiday. If you feel that you may be over training or not recovering then add a third day where you simply stretch out your tight or sore muscles to aid their recovery.

You may be thinking that this approach sounds too simple to yield any significant results but you'd be wrong. In fact, simplicity is the main reason that this approach works. And it really does work!

Give the program a fair try and dedicate 15 minutes a day to these exercises and I guarantee you'll be in far better shape for your holiday than you are right now. The alternative of course, is to do nothing, hope for the best and spend your holiday worried about your wobbly bits.

The choice is yours and only you can make a difference so start now. Today!

See you on the beach!

The 5 Reasons You're Still Struggling With Your Fat Loss

You know what it's like.

You've tried everything in your power to finally shift that weight that's been hanging on for so long and yet, despite your best efforts (or so you believe) you're still far from the condition you're hoping to achieve and you're baffled.

What's wrong?

Why can't you shift that fat?

From my experience it comes down to one of these 5 things.

1. You're Cheating!

No getting away from this one. We've all done it.

You say you're going to commit 100% to your fat loss goal but then, as soon as you're within sniffing distance of your favourite foods you tell yourself 'just one won't hurt' and before you know it, you're chomping away on the very thing that contributed to your fat gain in the first place.

Here's the deal.

You're an addict.

'Just one' WILL hurt!

Like all addicts you need to go cold turkey to break the cycle of dependence. No ifs, not buts.

The thing is, cheating on your diet accomplishes nothing. it keeps things exactly how they are. It keeps YOU exactly how YOU are!

Don't cheat!

2. You've Lost Your Why

I can't remember who first said it but the quote goes 'those that have a strong enough why will overcome almost any how'. This means, of course, if you have a good enough reason for doing what you need to do, you'll find the way to to do it, even if it's hard.

The flip side of this should be obvious.

If you're not clear on why you're doing what you're doing then practically anything you need to do to accomplish your goal will appear difficult, if not impossible.

You'll experience everything as obstacles rather than opportunities and feel that you're more likely to fail than succeed.

That's not a great foundation to build your goals upon is it?

Identify your why.

Be honest with yourself, why do you want to lose that fat? Yes, to look good in your bikini, we know that but what else? What's the REAL reason? Dig deep and find the real why and you'll increase your likelihood to achieve it a hundredfold.

3. You don't know what you want

Sure, you've set a goal to 'lose weight' or 'get fit' or 'tone up' but you've never absolutely, positively set a specific target.

There's a big difference between a weight loss goal like the ones above and 'I'm going to lose 50lbs by June 1st 2009' isn't there?

See, the thing is, you can't hit a target you can't see. So be specific. Set a big, obvious, prominent target with a specific timeline and commit to THAT timeline rather than being vague about 'losing some weight'.

What goal are YOU aiming at?

This is critical to know. Ignore it at your peril!

4. You're Trying to do it alone

You're not an expert on fatloss. if you were, you wouldn't be trying to lose fat, right? : )

So why are you trying to do this alone or with limited knowledge on losing fat?

Stop it now!

If you didn't know about your car engine, I'm sure you wouldn't attempt to strip down the engine block on your own right? You'd get a mechanic to do the job.

Your body is far more important than your car so stop tinkering with and and guessing and hoping that what you're doing is going to work.

Instead, seek out fat loss experts who'll give you the PROVEN dietary and exercise guidance that they use to get results for their clients, follow their advice and get those results for yourself. Hardly rocket science, but the number of people actually doing this are few and far between. And funnily enough, practically all of them have great physiques!

Take a look at some of these results HERE for women and HERE for men and you'll see what a difference it makes to get professional advice.

5. You're Trying to do it alone part 2

Once you've gotten your professionally designed program, you're not cheating, you know your why and you have a laser like focus on the specific goals you want to achieve then make sure you find and join a support group to keep your motivation high. This is not just a suggestion, it's a necessity!

You see, those who are attempting massive changes in their health, fitness and appearance often undergo massive swings in motivation with huge highs and dramatic lows. It's during the lows that self-doubt and the feelings to quit come into play and, before you know it you've cheated, told yourself you'll never succeed and quit the program that you started out on with such high hopes.

Having support means that this won't happen.

Sure, you'll still get the swings, the highs, the lows but you'll be talking to people that are going through the same as you, experiencing the same problems and feelings and who know what you're going through. They'll drag you back up when you're flagging and you can return the favour when they need it.

This is win-win and is responsible for more people achieving their health and fitness goals than practically any other reason.

Get support and you're most of the way there, do it alone and the goal feels miles off.

There you have, the top 5 reasons why your fat loss goals fail.

And also the prescription you need to make sure they never fail again, right?

Apply all 5 steps and your fat loss is guaranteed!

No B.S Advice To Get The Most Out Of Your Elimination Diet

I get a lot of emails from people asking me what they need to do to get the most from the 30 day elimination diet program.

A lot!

It seems that people are always looking for 'tweaks' to jazz up the program or, more commonly, acceptable alternatives (read cheats) that they can employ to make the program better fit their 'lifestyle' as they put it.

So look, here's my feedback to you all.

You might not like all that you hear but nonetheless it's true with no B.S involved, meaning that you'll get better results faster.

Time for some straight-talk.

Sound good to you?

1. Just Follow the Diet... To the Letter!

Very few people write me to say that they got disappointing results from the diet, but those that do are always, ALWAYS those who try to get cute with the diet and change it in some way.

Leave it alone.

It works.

Just follow it for 30 days, keep all the banned foods from your diet for the entire time and Bob's your uncle, results guaranteed!

Mess with it, change it and convince yourself that 'a little change here and there won't hurt' and you're no longer following the protocol. If you're no longer following the protocol you're no longer guaranteed results.

You need to ask yourself this simple question.

'Do I want results or do I want to do things my way?'

No offence intended to anyone here but if you're downloading a dietary system off the web, you're probably not happy with one or more aspects of your health, fitness or physique, all of which you've had 100% control over developing up to this point... and failed. Or at least, haven't achieved what you want to achieve in these areas.

So your way's not working.

Yet I know for a fact that my way does. EVERY TIME!

Look, the elimination diet is just 30 days long, it'll give you great results IF YOU DON'T MESS WITH IT.

So don't mess with it ok?

Read the manual. Follow the manual. Take nothing away. Add nothing. Change nothing. Results guaranteed.

Couldn't be simpler : )

Get Active

The elimination diet is powerful in and of itself even without exercise. On average, the 38,000 people that have been through the program so far have lost between 15 and 20lbs in the 30 days.

Many have lost more.

MUCH more.

But those who go on to break double-digits in fat loss have nearly always added exercise to their programs and so should you if you want to make the most of your time on the program.

The best program is one that includes resistance training in a 'circuit training' style or supersets. The one i recommend most is from my good buddy Craig Ballantyne at Turbulence Training. The program is a great accompaniment to the Elimination Diet and will speed up your fat loss better than practically everything else I've come across.

Turbulence Training

That said, you don't HAVE TO have a professionally designed program. Just getting more active on a daily basis will help. Committing to a bodyweight or freeweight routine 3 times a week will really tip the balance in favor of fatloss and changing your body shape fast.

Whatever you do though, do SOMETHING!

Don't just sit on your butt HOPING that you'll change your body shape. That's what you've been doing up til now and it hasn't worked so why would it suddenly start working now?

Guarantee your results by being proACTIVE and committing to making it happen and it will. Sit on your butt and nothing happens. Your choice.

Stop Blaming Willpower. You Don't Need It!

There may be times during the elimination diet when you find yourself in social situations where following the diet will be hard. Your willpower will be tested.

Deal with it.

I know that sounds uncaring but it really isn't.

I mean, plan ahead and actually deal with it.

Bring suitable foods or snacks of your own, phone ahead to find out what the menu is in advance so that you can plan or simply don't go. Just don't whine and complain that there's nothing you can do about it. There is. No-one can MAKE you eat and drink the foods that are banned on the diet.

You choose to.

Admit it and you're immediately empowered.

Deny it and you put all the problems related to your health, fitness and physique 'out there' by saying that you don't play a part in creating the body you wear.

Plan and create your menu in advance or choose not to go. You don't have to slip up. You choose to...

...or not!

Don't Quit

Stay with the diet.

It's only 30 days.

The results are guaranteed.

It's free.

All the information and resources required to make the changes you claim you want are right here, right now and free.

What more do you want?

You need to make a true decision and commitment to finishing the 30 days and on no account even entertain the idea that you won't finish it. The word decision mean 'to cut off from all other possibilities'. Have you?

Don't look for a get out of jail free card.

There isn't one.

If you don't commit to the program then you won't get the results you want. In effect, you're back in jail. Trapped in the body you no longer want.

The only breakout comes from finishing what you start.

So finish!

It Ain't So Hard!

Look, the truth is that whilst the elimination diet may be challenging to some at first, it's not really that hard. You're being asked to kick out the foods that have built the body you're wearing. The body you no longer want.

You say you want better so make it happen.

And it's 30 days.

Just 30 days.

And they're going to pass anyway, regardless of whether you do the program right or not, right?

Just like the last 30 and the 30 before that and the 30 before that.

Time passes, that's inevitable.

You can't do anything about it.

But what you can choose, what you have 100% control over, is what you spend that time on.

So spend it well and commit.

Your results are waiting!

Get to it : )
